Lake Nakuru Full-Day Game Drive
Overview
Lake Nakuru packs an extraordinary amount into a fenced sanctuary: both black and white rhino, Rothschild's giraffe, tree-climbing lion and a soda lake that draws flamingos and pelicans in their thousands. It is close enough to Nairobi to do properly in a single long day, which makes it the best full-day game drive in the country.
Trip Highlights
- Black and white rhino in the same drive
- Flamingos and pelicans along the shoreline
- Rothschild's giraffe — found in very few parks
- Baboon Cliff viewpoint over the lake
- Great Rift Valley escarpment on the drive out
